New Parent Free Life Cover

£10,000 free life cover for new parents during their baby’s first year of life.
Here are some of the features of new parent free life cover:

  • It is a life insurance plan that provides £10,000 free life cover for a parent if they die on or before their child’s first birthday.
  • Applying only takes a few minutes.
  • Single life cover only.
Here are some of the facts you need to know about the new parent free life cover:

Parental statusThe individual applying for the cover must be named on the birth certificate, full adoption certificate, final residence order or special guardianship order. 
Residence 
Individuals applying for cover must be a UK resident. They must also remain a UK resident for the duration of the plan. If they move outside of the UK the plan will stop. (Please note, the UK does not include Channel Islands or Isle of Man).
If the child was born abroad, this doesn’t matter as long as the parent is a UK resident and remains a UK resident for the duration of the plan
TermMaximum termThe cover will expire on the child’s first birthday 
Maximum Cover £10,000 per parent per child.
Joint cover is not available
 
Health conditions and exclusions 

We will not pay claims where death is as a result of:

  • suicide
  • related to or caused by a history of alcohol abuse
  • non-prescribed drug abuse
  • HIV related illnesses

Applications cannot be made where the applicant has received a positive diagnosis of HIV infection or has, within the last 12 months, received medical treatment for cancer (including leukaemia and lymphoma).

 

 


Charges

There are no premiums for clients to pay as this is a free offer.

  • Want to take the first step towards protecting their family
  • Have a baby who is up to 6 months old
  • Are UK residents. (Channel Islands and Isle of Man are excluded) and remain a UK residents for the duration of the plan
  • Are named on the Birth Certificate, the Full Adoption Certificate, Final Residence Order, or Special Guardianship Order
  • Are aged 18 to 66
  • Have not received a positive diagnosis of HIV infection or have not, within the last 12 months, received medical treatment for cancer (including leukaemia and lymphoma)
  • Have a child who is more than 6 months old
  • Are not UK residents (Channel Islands and Isle of Man are excluded) or will not remain UK residents for the duration of the plan
  • Are not named on the Birth Certificate, Full Adoption Certificate, Final Residence Order, or Special Guardianship Order
  • Are under 18 years old, or over 66 years old
  • Have received a positive diagnosis of HIV infection or have, within the last 12 months, received medical treatment for cancer (including leukaemia and lymphoma)

 

 
Key considerations
 
  • If the customer wants more life insurance cover they will need to apply for additional cover separately. This will be subject to normal underwriting.
