Here are some of the features of our critical illness cover.

  • Only available as an option with Mortgage Life Insurance (Integrated and Independent) and Term Assurance (Integrated only).

  • Once clients select a plan with the critical illness option, they can choose the level of cover and plan term they want. (subject to limits which depend on your client's circumstances)

  • Up to £2,000,000 worth of cover.

  • If the critical illness option is selected, there is automatic cover for children of the person insured under the children's critical illness benefit.

  • Critical illness cover pays out a lump sum if your client is diagnosed with a critical illness that meets our plan definition and then survives for at least 14 days. We only cover the critical illnesses we define in our plan and no others.

If your client chooses reviewable premiums, the plan must end before the client’s 91st birthday. The maximum term of the plan is 50 years.

This includes any other critical illness cover that your client may already have with Aviva and/or any other provider.

 

If the cash sum is paid upon diagnoisis of a critical illness, no futher benefit is payable on diagnosis of a terminal illness or on death.

 

Automatic cover for children of the person insured under the children's critical illness benefit.
