Helping line managers and other professionals involved in the sickness absence process to reduce absence because of musculoskeletal disorders. The course is available as a half day or one-hour session and is delivered by FitBack.

One-hour workshops designed to condition and strengthen the lower back and reduce the incidence of back pain in the workplace, delivered by FitBack.

shieldManaging alcohol misuse in the workplace


Line manager training designed to identify problems and support employees struggling with alcohol addiction, and to demonstrate how to safeguard their employees and the business.  Delivered by  Alcohol Health Network.

A two-hour seminar covering the typical journey of a cancer patient from diagnosis to treatment. It looks at the obstacles employees with cancer may face at work and focuses on tactical strategies and solutions to help the employee remain in work, or make a successful and sustainable return to work. Delivered by Working Towards Wellbeing.

We offer a range of rehabilitation and specialist clinical services developed in collaboration with our trusted partners.
Plus, our in-house clinical and rehabilitation team can provide advice, case management, signposting and support with return-to-work planning.

It pays to move quickly

If your client is aware of an employee who is at risk of long-term absence, we’d encourage them to contact our rehabilitation and claims team as soon as possible, helping reduce the likelihood of prolonged absence and reducing associated costs.

Making it easy for everyone

We’ll assign a dedicated case manager who will be on hand to discuss any additional support that may help your client or their employee. We’ll provide continuing support and guidance throughout any treatment and specialist referrals and apply the most appropriate intervention measures and rehabilitation techniques to encourage a rapid recovery.

Specialist counselling, physical rehabilitation, and return to work support for employees living and working with cancer, available at the point of a Group Income Protection claim. These services are either provided by in-house clinicians at no extra cost or are delivered by Working Towards Wellbeing at an agreed discount.

A stepped approach to supporting employees experiencing life-pressures and mental health problems. Ranging from lifestyle coaching and self-help strategies through to specialist psychological assessment and talking therapies, including cognitive behavioural therapy.

shieldMusculoskeletal (MSK) Solutions


Workplace ergonomic assessments, physiotherapy and functional restoration programs to help and support employees trying to return to work following musculoskeletal pain and injury.

shieldComplex Case Review


If an employee has been absent from work for three months or more but is struggling to access co-ordinated clinical and vocational support, we can help by providing face-to-face assessment and return-to-work case management. The case manager will source the appropriate assessment and treatment services, liaise with the health care professionals treating the employee and support the employee, and his/ her line manager, throughout the phased return-to-work process, either on the phone, or face-to-face.

In cases where specialist assessment and clinical services are required to facilitate an employee’s recovery and return to work, we can provide these through our trusted rehabilitation partners.

We’ll always combine the most appropriate intervention measure and rehabilitation techniques to encourage a rapid recovery, which could also help reduce the costs involved for your client’s business, such as sick pay, extra resource costs and reduced productivity.
