Wellbeing solutions and added value services

Our holistic wellbeing solutions focus on strengthening the employees’ mental, physical and emotional wellbeing by inspiring behavioural change within the organisation. The result can be better quality of life for the employee, increased productivity for the employer and a satisfied customer for you.

To find out how Aviva wellbeing solutions and added value services can help your clients, please contact us on 0800 145 5684, or speak to your account manager.

Approach to wellbeing

Our in-house wellbeing and rehabilitation teams are experts in their field and will work with your clients to devise and implement the most appropriate solutions according to their employees specific needs and their businesses demands.

We offer a range of tools designed to support your clients and improve the health and wellbeing of their workforce. Our proposition includes:

Health promotion & wellbeing training

Our wellbeing solutions and added value services can help employers reduce the likelihood of illness and injury by promoting good working practices and encourage employees to stay healthy.

By providing the best tools and support in a healthy working environment employers are equipping their employees with the tools to cope with the challenges they’ll encounter in a changing workplace.

Employee and manager support

Sometimes, all that’s required to help an employee (or a line manager) is some simple signposting to services that will enable them to self-manage a wellness issue.

Our wellbeing proposition provides a wide range of apps, tools and support and resources that will help employees manage their own health and wellbeing issues, which may help reduce the costs associated with long-term absence.

Rehabilitation services

Employers have a business to run so we have used our experience to create a process that works effectively for both the employer and the employee.

We’ll get things moving, assign a dedicated case manager for the employee and talk to the employer about any additional support that could help them. We will also agree with the employer when the next review of the employee’s circumstances should take place while continuing to provide ongoing support and guidance.

We’ll always combine the most appropriate intervention measure and rehabilitation techniques to encourage a rapid recovery. Overall, this could help to reduce the costs involved for your client, such as:

  • sick pay;
  • extra resource costs; and
  • reduced productivity.

Returning-to-work support services

By providing effective rehabilitation we are able to work with an employee to improve their condition and begin to focus on an eventual return to the workplace.

Our aim is to make the return-to-work process easier for everybody. The Aviva case manager will stay in contact with the employer and the employee throughout any treatment and specialist referrals. When the employee is ready their case manager will put together a return-to-work plan.

Being absent from the workplace for a prolonged period can be difficult for an employee and we have the expertise to make this easier for everybody.

These services will be delivered by our in-house clinical experts, or trusted partners. Many of our services are free to the employer and/or the employees and provided alongside their Aviva protection products. Some of our wellbeing solutions are provided at agreed Aviva discounts by our wellbeing partners.

All workplace wellbeing benefits and added value services are non contractual and can be withdrawn by Aviva at any time without notice.

As part of our Group Income Protection Cover we offer a range of rehabilitation and specialist clinical services developed in collaboration with our trusted partners. Our in-house clinical and rehabilitation team can also provide advice, case management, signposting and support with return-to-work planning.

 Cancer Work Support Service

Workplace ergonomic assessments, physiotherapy and functional restoration programs to help and support employees trying to return to work following musculoskeletal pain and injury.

 Complex Case Review
If an employee has been absent from work for three months or more but are struggling to access co-ordinated clinical and vocational support, we can help by providing face-to-face assessment and return-to-work case management. The case manager will source the appropriate assessment and treatment services, liaise with the health care professionals treating the employee and support the employee, and his/ her line manager, throughout the phased return-to-work process, either on the phone, or face-to-face.

In cases where specialist assessment and clinical services are required to facilitate an employee’s recovery and return to work, we can provide these through our long-standing and trusted rehabilitation partners.

We’ll always combine the most appropriate intervention measure and rehabilitation techniques to encourage a rapid recovery. This could help to reduce the costs involved for your business, such as sick pay, extra resource costs and reduced productivity.

All workplace wellbeing benefits and added value services are non contractual and can be withdrawn by Aviva at any time without notice.
