Commission data is sent electronically in an industry standard XML format, on a weekly or monthly basis. Commission data is provided at firm level and includes the following data items:
- client name
- policy number
- commission amount
- product type
The data is sent using a 3rd party hub called 'Opentext' which allows the data to be converted into other formats, such as Excel csv.
By using industry standards, Aviva data can be combined with data from other product providers to give you an overview of all your commission payments.
You can import the data files into your back office system for reconciliation and allocation to each adviser in your firm.
Commission messaging covers all Aviva products that are currently paying commission to your firm, including ex-Friends Life products.
