When you submit an application, we don’t want to leave you hanging. Thanks to our intelligent underwriting around 8 in 10 of our online applications receive an immediate decision and around 9 out of 10 receive a decision within 48 hours*.

If we do need further medical information, we’ve made significant improvements to our processes using digital technology, automating key areas to reduce timescales and remove hassle for you and your clients.

If we require a GP report, your clients can provide their consent digitally for us to access their medical records, making this stage of the process quicker and easier for them. Once we receive their consent, our systems automatically update and trigger the request for a General Practitioner’s Report (GPR), printing and auto-issuing it to your clients’ GP. In 2018, 73% of the E-AMRA consents we had returned were received within 24 hours.

When the GPR request arrives at the surgery, we’re using third party software to help speed up the return of GP reports. iGPR helps GPs to compile, check and send their reports at the touch of a button, removing the need for time-consuming handling of paper.

If you need to chase up medical information with the GP directly, you can find your clients doctors details in our online business tracking service. You can also edit client GP details, this can help you manage any changes to your client’s circumstances during underwriting.

Online Trusts

Being able to quickly and easily write a policy in trust for your clients is essential in allowing you to provide a holistic advice service. With a large number of people dying without a will, the reality of what happens when your client dies isn’t always what’s expected.

Placing a policy in trust is an easy way of making sure that the proceeds from the policy you recommend to your client go where they should. But as well as giving your client further peace of mind as part of your professional service, it can also represent an opportunity for you to grow your business through referrals from trustees.

With ALPS, you can complete this process entirely online** – and we help by selecting the correct type of trust based on the answers to a few simple questions. Setting up a policy under trust with Aviva is:

• Quick and easy

• 100% online

• Signature-free

• Subsequently accessible in our online business tracking service
