Make Telegraphic Transfer payments quicker when submitting Bond applications
When submitting a bond application the date the investment is received by Aviva is the date used to commence the policy, so using a quick and secure payment method is important in ensuring this date is as early as possible.
Telegraphic Transfers (TT’s) are exactly this and below is the process to follow.
Submitting online
• Submit the online bond application as normal and make a note of the policy number or declaration number provided upon submission.
• Give the Aviva account number (s/c 40-02-50 a/c 01057081) to your customer together with either the policy number or the declaration number (whichever is provided) to include in the reference field of the TT payment.
• Collect together the supporting documentation and send to Aviva along with a cover sheet clearly detailing that a TT payment is being made and include the payment date, amount and reference used. This will enable us to identify the payment once received in our account.
Paper applications
• Complete the paper application form including the TT section on the first page under the heading ‘Where do you need to send this completed application form’
• Give the Aviva account number (s/c 40-02-50 a/c 01057081) to your customer and provide them with a reference to be included in the reference field of the TT payment. The reference should be something unique to that application, possible example below:
o ‘BOND’, [insert policy holder’s surname], so ‘BOND SMITH’
• Collect together the application and supporting documentation and send to Aviva along with a cover sheet clearly detailing that a TT payment is being made and include the date, amount and reference used. This will enable us to identify the payment once received in our account.
If this process is not followed we can not guarantee as quick a turn around in identifying the payment.
The date of commencement will be the date the payment reached Aviva.
